I made a new friend! His name is Archie!

Hi friends,

I met a new friend today, and he’s a West Highland White Terrier named Archie! He’s so small, and my parents tell me that I have to be careful not to play too hard with him since he’s still only 9 weeks old. Can’t wait for him to get bigger so that I can chase him around in the backyard and the woods ?.

Isn’t he just a doll?! I’m sure we’ll see more posts with him in the future!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!

It was a fun halloween night yesterday! I greeted many trick or treaters at the door, and handed out delicious chocolates! Well, at least my parents say they are delicious, since I’ve never had a taste in my life ?.

The trick or treaters had great costumes on this year! I saw vampires, super heros and fairies! I also had a costume on too! I dressed up as salmon sushi!

Ain’t I just ready to be eaten?!  Well I think the trick or treaters were very happy to see me as sushi, and I’m happy that I didn’t get eaten ?. Can’t wait for Halloween next year and see what costume my parents get me ?.

I’m going to enter the Canterbury Corgi races one day!

Hi friends,

Angus here with another update of my shenanigans this summer.

So I really like to run around with my friends at the park, but yeah, I’m a little bit slower than the Labs and other longer-legged friends. But I feel like because of these trainings sessions, I’m quite fast for a Corgi:

Heat wave in Toronto!

Hi friends!

We’re in the midst of summer now! Where I live in Toronto, we are experiencing quite the heat wave! It’s been a whole week now with temperatures of over 33 degrees Celsius each day. For my American friends, that is 91 degrees Fahrenheit.

So when it is hot out, I have to shed my inner coat off, because if I didn’t, I’d bake into an Italian loaf, something like this:

We are finally in summer mode!

Hi all,

Angus here, and I’m enjoying the summer weather finally after a long winter this year. There has already been a few days of hot weather days, and so I’ve had to make sure that I stay hydrated:

Finally spring has arrived!

Hello friends! It’s been a long time since the groundhogs back in February thought it was going to be another 6 weeks till the end of winter, but spring has finally sprung! We’re in the beginning of May, so the groundhogs were too optimistic. There’s still a bit of snow left on the ground, but I hear the birds chirping and the tree buds coming out of their branches.

I got to go on a hike last weekend, and I found a nice stick!

Well, hopefully it doesn’t snow again this year! Because I want to go on more hikes ?.

Birch Beer Crush?!

Hi all! I was just reminiscing about my maritime trip last summer, because I need to warm myself up by thinking of nice warm places instead of seeing that it is still frozen outside in the middle of spring. I was looking through the maritime trip album and I ran into a photo of me with a can of Crush birch beer.  What a weird concept, using birch bark as a flavour for a soft drink! I certainly don’t see this pop in my neighbourhood.

To me it smelled like root beer! My parents say that while it is similar, it also has other flavour notes such as mint and tea, and is also quite sweet.

This is why I like going to new places, because I get to see my parents try new things!

It’s April, and I’m still hiking in snow…

Hi frens, Angus here! A few days into April now, and it’s still snowing out…what a treat for me! I see buds on the trees ready to embrace the warm weather, and my parents have even started some vegetable seedlings hoping to transplant them outside soon, but the threat of frost lingers.

As you may know, I love hiking through the snow, so I find today’s weather just fine by me! Here’s a video of me enjoying what’s probably the last snowfall for this prolonged winter, hiking in fresh snow:
